FAQ - Managing your policy online



All Sheilas’ Wheels Broker Model Driver customers have the added convenience of online access to their car insurance policy, 24/7.  You will be able to view your dashboard, download your documentation, make amendments to your policy and then buy Car Hire CoverMotoring Legal ProtectionBreakdown Assistance Cover and Personal Injury Cover to top up your level of cover for ultimate peace of mind.

1. How do I register for online access to my account?

Click here to register for online access to your policy.  You’ll just need to choose a username, Password Security Question and Answer, and provide us with an email address and your policy details.  We will then send an email to this address asking you to authenticate your details.  Just click on the link in the email and your account will be activated.

2. What if I registered but never activated my account using the link from my email?

Please attempt to log into your account using your username and password.  If you have not activated your account you will be prompted to enter the original email address you used.  You will then be resent the activation email to log on to your account.

3. How do I change my password?

Click ‘Your Account’ then ‘Manage Login Details’ on the left.  You can enter a new password on this page.

4. How do I change my authentication email address?

This email address is the one we will use to contact you if you forget your password.  It can be a different email address to your correspondence email address.  Click ‘Your Account’ then the ‘Manage Login Details’ button on the left.

5. What if I forget my password?

If you forget your password just click on the 'Forgotten Password' button on the Account Login page.  You’ll be asked for your username and the answer to the Password Security Question that you set when you created your account.

A temporary password will be emailed to you and you will be prompted to change this as soon as you log into your account.

7. How do I view my policy details and documents?

Click ‘Your Account’ followed by the ‘Manage Policy’ button for the policy in question in the ‘Your Policies’ section towards the centre of the page.  You can then scroll down the page to view your policy details.

8. What documents can I view and download?

The following important documents will be available to view and print off including:

  • Key Facts Documents
  • Statement of Insurance
  • Policy Schedule
  • Certificate of Motor Insurance
  • Policy Booklet
  • Our Terms of Business

Any correspondence sent to you from Model Driver will also be stored in your online account so that everything is in one place for your convenience.

9. What changes can I make to my policy online?

Here's a list of just some of the changes that you can make online:

  • Your Details: you can change your address and your occupation.
  • Car Details: you can change your level of cover and alter your mileage if your circumstances change.
  • Drivers: you can change details of named drivers (such as add a conviction or claim) or include a new or temporary driver on your policy.

The premium you pay may go up or down depending on the change you make. You may also be charged an admin fee. Please refer to our Terms of Business for further details.

10. How can I make a change to my policy online?

Click the ‘Manage Future Policy’ button for the policy you’d like to amend.  For each of the sections there is an associated amend link e.g. ‘Amend Your Details’ and ‘Change Car Details’.

Some amendments to your policy may result in a refund or require an additional premium to be paid.  If you are unable to make an amendment to your policy online for any reason, please call our Customer Service team on 0345 605 1763 for assistance.

11. How can I buy an Optional Extra online such as Car Hire Cover, Motoring Legal Protection, Personal Injury Cover or Breakdown Assistance Cover?

Currently an Optional Extra can only be purchased online at the same time you are making another amendment to your policy.  However, please call us on 0345 605 1763 to make a purchase over the phone.
