1. What happens at the installation appointment?

Our engineer will arrive within your specified morning or afternoon timeslot at the agreed location.  They will check your V5 document to verify ownership, and check your car for any undisclosed modifcations and roadworthiness, and then fit a Model Driver Black Box into your car.  This should take around 45 minutes to one hour.

2. What documents must I show the engineer?

3. What if I do not have the V5C document that I must show to the engineer?

If you forget the V5C document on the day, a fee of £50 will be payable as the installer will need to make a return visit to fit your Model Driver Black Box.  You will need to reschedule another installation appointment within the set timeframe: at least 14 days but no longer than 28 days after you buy the policy.

4. What happens to my documents?

Our engineer will scan the V5C document and will take a photo of your vehicle.  The scanned documents will be sent to our administration team for verification.  Then the engineer will complete your installation.
