Administration fees - FAQs



We believe in being upfront and clear about any fee that could be payable during your policy term.  The fees, charges and terms below are in addition to any that are set by your insurer and the premium finance provider that we use.

1. What are your fees and charges for adjusting or amending my car insurance policy?

We charge £30.25 for any adjustment or amendment such as a change of address or the addition of a named driver which is in addition to the premium charged by your insurer.  Additional charges, other than premium charges may also be applied by your insurer so check your policy documentation.

2. What are your fees and charges for changing my car?

We charge £150 if you buy a new car.  This fee covers our administration fee and the cost to fit another Model Driver Black Box into your new car.  Additional charges may be applied by your insurer so please check your policy documentation.

Please note that we are unable to transfer a Model Driver Black Box from your old car into your new car.  If your new car already has a box fitted, due to differences in black box technology you will need to have one of our Model Driver Black Boxes installed.

3. What fee is payable if I accidentally miss my installation appointment?

You will be charged £50 and another appointment will need to be booked within the agreed timeframe: at least 14 days but no longer than 28 days after you buy the policy.  Your policy will be cancelled if you are unable to set up an installation appointment within the set timeframe. Refer to the Terms of Business document for our admin fees.

4. What fee is payable if I am unable to show the engineer my V5C document and need to reschedule another visit?

5. Do you charge for the reprinting of documentation?

We charge £12 for the reprinting and postage of documentation.  Don’t forget you can Login to your car insurance policy online to avoid paying certain fees and charges.  You can download and print all of your documentation plus make policy amendments 24/7.

6. Do you charge an administration fee to purchase an Optional Extra?

There is no administration fee to buy Motoring Legal Protection, Car Hire Cover, Personal Injury Cover and Breakdown Assistance Cover during the policy year.
